Abstract Outline: 15 minute Powerpoint presentation on the results from the 2015/16 and 2016/17 cotton seasons during which the ability of an EM38 instrument to rapidly assess the soil moisture content of cracking clay soils was assessed. The results proved excellent and there are opportunities now to make the technology more user-friendly for agronomists and growers to assess soil moisture rapidly.
