Currently, I am doing PhD in Water Engineering under University of South Australia since 2016 as an Endeavour scholar. My bachelor degree is Agricultural Engineering & master degree is Water Resources Management with specialization in sustainable irrigation management from University of South Australia in 2012. I have done 12-months Industry Project with one of the reputed irrigation company in South Australia.

I am agricultural engineer working under Government of Nepal since 2007. I have planned, surveyed, designed and successfully executed many small and medium irrigation projects in different parts of Nepal. Besides that, I have 2 year’s work experience with Care-Nepal as an irrigation engineer. For recognizing my contribution in professional sector, Government of Australia honored me “Outstanding Young Australian Alumni Award 2014”. My professional hubby is to create some positive differences in sustainable horticulture through soil and water management.

Abstract Outline: The presentation will be based on my PhD study of title “Investigation of glasshouse tomato under different irrigation deficiency and water types: A case study of Northern Adelaide Plain, South Australia”. The actual field-based experiment has been started since July 2017 and will be completed in November 2017. Although the attributes of the study covers different aspect of soil-based glasshouse tomato including water use efficiency (WUE) or bio physical water productivity, irrigation water use efficiency (IWUE), economic return per unit of water (ERW), crop productivity (yield and quality) and soil sustainability , this particular presentation will be focused on salinity investigation and management only.
