Abstract Outline: This presentation will summarise a strategy and framework for irrigation replacement decision making. The approach has been applied to Bundaberg Sugar Ltd operations to assess the suitability of irrigation equipment and systems at a block/farm. The presentation includes demonstration of a web tool that supports visualisation of block by block trends of yield, irrigation system distribution, soil type, water allocation and economic costs. An assessment approach to compare the suitability of different irrigation systems on a field block basis including technical constraints and expected economic cost-benefit will be described.
