Adam Joyner BE (Civil) MEngSc (Public Health) MIEAust CPEng

Adam is a water engineer with 25 years’ experience in water infrastructure design, construction and operation; integrated water resource planning; and, hydrometrics. He is currently Manly Hydraulic Laboratory’s Manager Environmental Data and leads a team to deliver hydrometric monitoring services covering: drinking water catchments, urban water networks, water meter testing, hydraulic and water quality device testing, rivers and lagoons, as well as flood warning systems.

Abstract Outline: This presentation aims to demonstrate that laboratory based hydraulic physical modelling and measurement helps to solve big irrigation issues related to risk management and costs, through example case studies.

The case studies are drawn from Manly Hydraulics Laboratory’s work completed in the Australian irrigation industry and are related to complex issues associated with dams, meters and asset protection.
